Westwood

Visit one of our houses for sale in Westwood, home to the historical landmark University of Southern California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and the Bruin football team. With the exception of the Westwood Memorial Cemetery (final resting place for Marilyn Monroe and Natalie Wood), Westwood is always humming with UCLA students, moviegoers, and Bruins fanatics. Consequently, street parking will test your patience and parallel parking abilities. For book enthusiasts, come to the LA Times Festival of Books at UCLA during April. There are always activities and events happening at UCLA on any given day or evening, which means there will always be something to do.

Not solely a college town but a reasonable facsimile, Westwood’s student population feeds on the cheap, undeniably delicious fresh from the oven food at In N’ Out, Diddy Riese Cookies, Chik-Fil-A, and Falafel King (“extra baba ganoush, please”) in Westwood Village. For the classic Westwood experience, see a movie on opening night—or even try to attend a red carpet screening. Outside of the growing UCLA student population, there are tens of thousands of Westwood residents in homes and apartments with a mixture of age groups and moderate ethnic diversity, mostly with a high level of income and education. Points of interest in Westwood include the Hammer Museum, the Fowler Museum, historic motion picture theaters, and the Geffen Playhouse.
